Real estate technology venture capital fund GreenSoil Building Innovation Fund (GBIF) led the round with participation from Riverfront Ventures, Zamagias Properties, Quaker Capital Investments, and Startbot. As part of the financing, Susan McArthur, Partner, GBIF joins the board. The funding will be used to fuel sales and marketing initiatives, expand talent acquisition, and further invest in research and development.

Kaarta Selected by City of Pittsburgh to put 3D Modeling Technology to the test in Municipal Environments
Kaarta, innovator of the next big leap in 3D modeling, has been selected by the City of Pittsburgh and authorities to participate in PGH Lab; a unique opportunity for startups to test their products in real world environments under the guidance of government officials. Kaarta was one of five local startups chosen from 30 applicants for the program’s 2017 group.
Real Earth, the innovator of the next big leap in 3D modeling, today announced its corporate name change to Kaarta. The new identity draws inspiration from cartography, the art and science of map-making, and captures the company’s pioneering take on this practice – to reveal 3D models of the real world in real-time.
