Kaarta Selected by City of Pittsburgh to put 3D Modeling Technology to the test in Municipal Environments

Kaarta, innovator of the next big leap in 3D modeling, has been selected by the City of Pittsburgh and authorities to participate in PGH Lab; a unique opportunity for startups to test their products in real world environments under the guidance of government officials. Kaarta was one of five local startups chosen from 30 applicants for the program’s 2017 group.

Kaarta Wins Microsoft Indoor Localization Competition for Second Consecutive Year

Kaarta, innovator of the next big leap in 3D modeling, took first place for the second consecutive year at the Microsoft Indoor Localization Competition held at the IPSN 2017 conference. Not only did Kaarta achieve the best accuracy score overall, it did so in real time without the use of prior maps or any infrastructure such as beacons or ultrawideband radio and required no post processing.

Real Earth Wins Microsoft Competition for 3D Mapping and Localization

Real Earth, the pioneer in real-time 3D mapping and localization, secured first place in Microsoft’s Indoor Localization Competition recently held in Vienna, Austria. Real Earth achieved the top ranking through their algorithms embedded in their STENCIL product. It was the only product to perform real time indoor localization without the use of infrastructure.
