“When we heard there was a handheld device that could make 3D digital models of practically anything in a matter of minutes, we were pretty interested in that.

A major cost of many of our projects is site drawings, building drawings, things of that nature, both us giving that to contractors and contractors returning that to us. We saw an immediate benefit if this technology worked the way we pictured it. 

We really put [Kaarta] technology to the test. We took them all over the city. We took them to rooftops, to abandoned buildings, and we were pretty pleased with the results.”   – Matthew Jacob, DPW, City of Pittsburgh
